Trailer premiere: The directors nerd loose in "One Perfect Shot"

Watch Michael Mann and Patty Jenkins step into their own movie scenes. A new documentary series for all movie lovers - soon on HBO Max.

What if you could pause your favorite movie at the most perfect moment and step straight into the box? That kind of film magic is now becoming a reality in the documentary series "One Perfect Shot".

The series is created by Ava DuVernay ("Selma", "The 13th Addendum") and is based on a popular Twitter account. Where the account is based on publishing beautiful still images from classic films, the series goes a few steps further, and lets VFX artists rebuild the scene as a real film environment paused.

Elizabeth McGovern: Why is Downton Abbey so successful?

news Hbo

Elizabeth McGovern doesn't understand the popularity of 'Downton Abbey'.

The 60-year-old actress is set to reprise her role as Cora Crawley, the Countess of Grantham, in 'Downton Abbey: A New Era' and while she's confident it will be a hit, Elizabeth is still unsure why the series is so successful.

Speaking to the UK edition of OK! magazine, she said: "People ask me why the show has been so successful over the years and I have no idea. I do not get it. I'm just thankful. But viewers identify with it for a variety of reasons.”

Elizabeth also thought doing the 'Downton' films would be a bigger and better experience than working on the TV show. But the actress found on set that there was little difference. She shared: "The funny thing is that it felt very similar. I thought the on-set snacks were better, but no...they weren't.

We were in the same house, we stayed in the same little bed and breakfasts around Highclere Castle. The film looked and felt so much bigger, more expansive and more ambitious than the TV show, but the actual act of shooting really feels the same.”

Neve Campbell: Already in talks for 'Scream 6'?

Neve Campbell has already been approached for 'Scream 6'.

The 48-year-old actress reprized her role as Sidney Prescott in the fifth film in the blockbuster slasher franchise and has also been reunited on screen with her old castmates Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and David Arquette as Dewey Riley. If you believe the actress, it won't be the last time the cast of one of the iconic horror films will come together.

Neve has now revealed that a draft script for another sequel is "coming soon". At the horror convention Mad Monster Party in California, Neve said: "They approached me. There is no script yet. There's a draft coming soon I'm told. I was supposed to call a producer yesterday because he wanted to talk to me about what's going on."

However, the 'Wild Things' actress stressed that she needs to see the story before deciding whether to return. She added: "We'll see. I'll read the script and see how I feel." The original 1996 film 'Scream' was a huge hit. It grossed over $173 million at the worldwide box office and launched the then 23-year-old young actress into stardom.
