15 days ago we learned that the spin-off of the Hunger Games saga centered on the youth of Coriolanus Snow would be released in our theaters in November 2023. Lionsgate has just announced the name of the actor who will play the role of the main protagonist.

We finally know who will play the terrible President of young Panem in the spin-off of the Hunger Games saga, The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird.

Actor Tom Blyth has just been chosen to play Coriolanus Snow, a role played by Donald Sutherland in the saga adapted from the novels by Suzanne Collins.

The actor is currently in the cast of the series Billy the Kid, in which he holds the title role and appeared in the series The Gilded Age.

The feature film derived from the hit saga is adapted from the dystopian novel by Suzanne Collins. Published in 2020, The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird is a prequel to the Adventures of Katniss, centered on the youth of the tyrannical President Snow.

The story takes place 64 years before The Hunger Games, in the years following the period of the "Dark Days", the first failed rebellion in Panem. We follow the young Coriolanus Snow, 18, future president of Panem. The latter sees a chance to change his destiny when he is chosen to be the mentor of Lucy Gray Baird, the tribute of District 12.

The shooting of the film directed by Francis Lawrence, already at the controls of the last 3 parts of the mother saga, should begin soon for a release scheduled for November 17, 2023 in the United States.
