With the title "Killing Old People Club", we can probably expect something at least as controversial as the Netflix series.
The director behind Netflix's brutal supersnackis "Squid Game" turns into a feature film. Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed yesterday that he has already written a 25-page draft of "Killing Old People Club", based on a novel by Italian Umberto Eco.
With that title, it will probably be "another controversial film", he said during the ongoing MipTV show in Cannes, joking that he "will have to hide from older people", according to Indiewire.
Variety also announces that Hwang Dong-hyuk will return to his hit series and hopes to have a second season of "Squid Game" ready by the end of 2024. The first season of the South Korean series - about a life-and-death contest with millions in the pot - became one of the streaming service's most watched productions ever.
