"If someone is lucky, then this mask will definitely be there," says the official Instagram account of "The Masked Singer", on which ProSieben recently announced another costume. The mushroom also wants to "show what's really in it" in the upcoming eighth season.

This time, the post does not contain any information about the star hiding under the elaborately designed mask. The contribution only ends with the question of whether the fungus will outgrow itself, which the other candidates will probably also ask themselves.

Overall, the costume looks rather cute and shy with its big button eyes and a slight smile. Garment master Alexandra Brandner needed "10,000 scales" for this, which she "cut out individually, then reinforced and placed on top of each other", she is quoted by the broadcaster as saying.

The spring season of "The Masked Singer" starts on April 1, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben. The mushroom will then compete against the seahorse, the hedgehog, the shoebill, the raccoon and the kangaroo, among others.

The guessing team is again made up of Ruth Moschner (46) and Rea Garvey (49). Matthias Opdenhövel (52) moderates the show.
