Charlize Theron is officially part of MCU

The actress debuted as a superhero in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness".

Meet Clea - Marvel's latest superhero.

Actress Charlize Theron's "secret" role in MCU is no longer so secret, because now the actress shows off her character in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" on Instagram.

Just like when Harry Styles appeared as Starfox at the end of "Eternals", Theron confidently steps into Marvel's world in the current "Doctor Strange" sequel, giving fans a brief WTF moment before rushing on to another universe. Charlize Theron makes one of several great cameos in the film.

Who's seventeen is Clea then, you might be wondering? It's not easy to keep track of all the comic book heroes. Thank you to Wikipedia for announcing that she is "magician and Doctor Strange's disciple, lover and eventually wife" and his successor as Sorcerer Supreme. Her favorite color is purple (my own observation).

Clea was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and made its debut in Marvel's series in the 1960s. She has a whole bunch of magical powers and can, among other things, control other people's thoughts, create illusions and master flashes of energy. However, it is not certain which version of Clea we will encounter, due to parallel universes, you know. Marvel has always taken some creative freedom when heroes take the step over to the big screen.

Theron is no stranger to playing roles where she gets to kick ass. In 2005, she played the superhero-like lead role in the futuristic action film "Aeon Flux", and she has also excelled as a tough avenger in "Atomic Blonde". On the fantasy front, she got to dress as the evil queen in "Snow White and the Huntsman".

And now Marvel can add another great Hollywood actress to its growing ensemble. The role in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" may be minimal, but indicates that we will see much more of Clea in MCU in the future.

Streaming Premiere of "How I Met Your Father" today on Disney +

Today, the spin-off to "How I Met Your Mother", with the ingenious title "How I Met Your Father", premieres at Disney +. In the series, we get to follow Hilary Duff in search of a father for her unborn children.

Long after "How I Met Your Mother" ended, it's time to capitalize on the brand again. Like the original series, "How I Met Your Father" is about parents telling their children about how they met their respective. In the new series, we get to follow Sophie, played by Hilary Duff (from among others "Lizzie McGuire"), and her group of friends. The role of the older Sophie is played by Kim Cattrall (Samantha from "Sex and the City"), who gets to act as the narrator in the series.

In the US, the series has not been received with open arms. Critics say that "How I Met Your Father" alludes too much to nostalgia without coming up with anything new. An example of this is that two of the main characters live in the same apartment as Ted, Marshall and Lily lived in the original.

Another criticism of the series is that the tonality seems to be uneven and clumsy. Ciara Wardlow, from RogerEbert.com, for example, writes that “In a way, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the series, but there is nothing right with it either. It's just a big nothing ”. In other words, "How I Met Your Father" seems to be worse than its model.

Despite the criticism, it will be exciting to follow Sophie's quest for fatherhood, and see if the series can maintain the same level as the original. Personally, I was a fan of both "Lizzie McGuire" and "How I Met Your Mother" when both series went, so I should reasonably appreciate something in this new spinoff.

First clip for "Avatar 2": Cinema fans have been waiting for this trailer for 13 years!

Spectacular images, animation out of this world and a dramatic story: The first trailer for the long-awaited sequel to "Avatar" makes up for more than a decade of waiting. The second part of James Cameron's spectacle, "The Way of Water", includes the underwater world.

The whole (cinema) world has been waiting for this trailer: After many postponements and a total of 13 years of waiting, sci-fi fans can finally look forward to the first moving image from the "Avatar" sequel "The Way of Water".

A one and a half minute clip takes viewers into the colorful world of the blue Na'vi, which director James Cameron launched in his visionary 3D cinema hit "Avatar" in 2009. With unique animations, visually stunning richness of color and plenty of drama - also under water - the teaser increases the anticipation of the cinema highlight, which is scheduled to debut in cinemas in December.

The long-awaited sequel takes place ten years after the events of "Avatar: Pandora's Adventures". The story revolves around the Na'vi couple Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), who have since started a family with several children. But the family idyll is also threatened by external dangers in the second part of the sci-fi series. "One thing I know: wherever we go, this family is our fortress," assures Jake at the end of his soulmate trailer.

In 2009, James Cameron created one of the most successful films of all time with "Avatar" - which was largely due to the visuals. The film combined real actors and first-class computer animations into the first really big 3D spectacle in cinema history. The technology, which was groundbreaking at the time, has never been used more spectacularly. The reward for the effort: With 2.84 billion US dollars in revenue, the film is still enthroned at the top of the all-time charcoal rankings. There were three awards at the 2010 Oscars: Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects.

New Elvis Presley movie gets the ultimate blow stamp: "Bravo to him!

When one throws oneself over such an iconic personality as Elvis Presley, who finally became so tragic, it must be with a certain awe for any filmmaker.

That's why everything else has to be fun with the director Baz Luhrmann, who with the biography film Elvis portrays The King of Rock'n'Roll when praise comes from the person who was closest to Presley for several years.

Priscilla Presley, who was married to Elvis from 1967 to 1973, has seen the film at a private screening, and she is full of praise. She writes on her Facebook profile:

- For those who are curious about the new movie 'Elvis', Baz Luhrmann, the director, provided a private screening for me and Jerry Schilling [Elvis manager, ed.] At the Warner Studios recently. This story is about Elvis and Colonel Parker's relationship. It is a true story told brilliantly and creatively, which only Baz in his unique artistic way could have delivered.

- Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is excellent. Halfway through the movie, Jerry and I looked at each other and said WOW !!! Bravo to him ... he knew he had big shoes to fill. He was extremely nervous about playing this role. I can well imagine that.

- Tom Hanks was Col. Park in this movie. What a character he was. There were two sides of the colonel, Jerry and I witnessed both. The story, as we all know, does not have a happy ending. But I think you will understand a little more of Elvis' journey, written by a director who put his heart and soul and many hours into this film.

In addition to the words of praise, there is also a new clip where you can get a taste of how Austin Butler becomes the personification of Elvis. See it at the top, just as you can see the original Facebook post at the bottom of the article.

Elvis has its theatrical release on June 23rd.

New picture shows Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor

Director Taika Waititi reveals new details about Jane's role in "Thor: Love and Thunder".
Jane is back in Thor's life - but something is different. When Natalie Portman returns to MCU after several years of absence, it is in the role of Mighty Thor. For the first time we see a woman take over the mighty hammer Mjölner, and it turns out to be the thunder god Thor's old flame.

- It has been eight years. She has had a completely different life, and then suddenly the great love of your life comes into the picture - and dressed like you. It will be a real mindfuck for Thor, says Taika Waititi.

It is the film magazine Empire that shows the new picture together with some new quotes from the director. The details of Jane's return are still secret, but anyone familiar with Jason Aaron's comic books "The Mighty Thor" may be wondering where it's going. Waititi explains how he thought about Portman's role:

- I started writing the story and thought: would not it be fun to be with Jane again? But you do not want Natalie to come back as the same character, and carry research equipment. Should Thor fly away while she's at home waiting patiently? That would be sad. You want her to be a part of the adventure.

More of Natalie Portman's new superhero and Chris Hemsworth's huge biceps can be seen in "Thor: Love and Thunder", where they will also deal with the big villain Gorr the God Butcher - played by Christian Bale. Lots to look forward to when we return to MCU on July 6th.
